You probably heard everything that needs to be heard about Fifty Shades of Grey, the bestselling book and the movie adaptation. I’m also sure you’re all familiar with the names of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele.
The Fifty Shades trilogy has sold over 70 million copies worldwide and I expect the movie to be successful as well. With its background, estimated $40 million production budget and a yearlong marketing campaign it can’t fail. Even though the first reviews are quite bad.
Never mind the reviews, let’s check some of the brands from the movie.
Audi
Audi was an obvious choice since it was mentioned in the E L James’ books as well. I’ve covered Audi’s brand dropping in the book in the blog post Audi’s unintentional product placement in Fifty Shades of Grey.
Loren Angelo, Director of Marketing for Audi of America, said: “It was a natural fit for Audi to be a part of ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ as it’s brought to life in theaters. Audi is a brand that symbolizes performance, technology and modern design. The natural inclusion of our hottest models in this series illustrates how Audi has become truly synonymous with sophisticated luxury.”
Five different Audi models were included in the movie: A3, S7, S8, Q7 and R8.
Omega
Christian Grey was wearing Omega watch, which was kind of expected, because Omega was mentioned in the book as well – to be precise in the second book Fifty Shades Darker.
In the movie Christian wears Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M Co-Axial Chronograph with silver teak dial.
Apple
We could see an iMac and a MacBook.
While watching the movie you’ll probably see even more brands. Bloomberg has compiled an awesome list of brands and products from the movie in the article Every Expensive Thing in Fifty Shades of Grey, Explained.
Have you spotted any other brands?
