Stars from TV shows have taken over the cover of the Rolling Stone magazine. First there was the cast of 30 Rock, then Lena Dunham and now it’s time for Jon Hamm aka Don Draper of Mad Men, who graces the cover of the issue from April 11 (no. 1180).

When I first saw the cover I instantly thought: what is the brand of his sunglasses?
These are Old Focals and the model is called Drapers.

Old Focals is a vintage eyewear store from Pasadena and is specialized in providing glasses and sunglasses for the movie and TV industry. Russ Campbell, Old Focals’ founder, has been supplying eyewear in Hollywood for more than 20 years.
He was first involved in the movie Tucker: The Man and His Dream from 1988. He provided glasses for J. Edgar, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, The Rum Diary, Cowboys & Aliens, A Single Man, Catch Me if You Can, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and for Mad Men.

According to Old Focals the Drapers are a limited edition, replica of the Ray Ban style “Olympian” sunglasses from the 1960’s. These sunglasses could be seen in the opening episode of the sixth season of Mad Men.
The price: $209
In the third episode of the fourth season we could’ve seen Don driving a red Cadillac Imperial while looking super-cool in grey suit and wearing RE (Randolph Engineering) aviators.

I’m sure the sixth episode will include some great placements, too. Can’t wait.

Hurrah! After all I got a web site from where I know how to truly obtain helpful data concerning my study and
knowledge.
Does anyone happen to know the brand/designer of his black polo on the cover?
