Iron Man 3, the third adventure of Tony Stark is scheduled to be released internationally on April 25 and on May 3, 2013 in the United States. It’s going to be another big budget production from Marvel Studios.

The first movie was made for $140m and grossed $585m worldwide. Iron Man 2 had even bigger budget ($200m), but also grossed more ($623m).

Very interesting aspect of all Iron Man movies is Tony Stark’s car: Audi R8. He began driving it in the first movie in 2008, it was visible in Iron Man 2 and in Iron Man 3 Tony will drive the new electric version of R8 model.

Marc Graser of Variety reports in the article Audi Back With Hero Car in ‘Iron Man 3′ that Iron Man 3 comes with a commitment from Audi to spend well north of $10 million on TV, print, online and other media to promote the film worldwide.

Audi’s use of product placement is very interesting: they’re focused on a few productions, but

are very committed when it comes to an actual deal. Smart and effective.
