Sharknado 2: The Second One is a sequel to absurdly popular trash movie Sharknado, which premiered in July 2013 on SyFy channel and taken Twitter by storm. The synopsis was crazy enough to get attention of the digital audience: Sharknado is a disaster movie about a tornado that lifts sharks out of the ocean and throws them all over Los Angeles.
Immediately after the successful premiere SyFy decided to make the sequel. Sharknado 2: The Second One premiered on July 30, 2014 and was the highest-premiering film on the SyFy Channel. According to reports the film was watched by 3.9 million viewers and SyFy has already announced that there would be a Sharknado 3, which will premiere sometime in 2015.

Words to describe Sharknado 2: crazy, stupid, dumb, funny, hysterical, over-the-top, absurdly entertaining z-level movie set in New York with a lot of cameo appearances (Wil Wheaton, Kelly Osbourne, Perez Hilton, Judd Hirsch, …) and with a lot of in-your-face yet amusing product placement.
Let’s check the most obvious brands.
Coors
After a few seconds we can see Coors’ logo and we can spot it again later in the movie.

Citibank
Several scenes were set in the CitiField stadium, while three female characters used CitiBikes to move away from the sharks.

Subway
The cleverest placement was probably by Subway. There was a man eating Subway sandwich on a subway station just in front of Subway poster.

iPhones

Microsoft

Yolo B’Us
Yolo B’Us is apparently a fictional store, from where one of the characters took their bag. The word YoloBUs soon became trendy on Twitter.

Third Shift
There was an ad for Third Shift beer on a yellow cab.

Unfortunately, as in the first Sharknado there wasn’t any chainsaw product placement. Maybe will see some chainsaw brands in Sharknado 3.
The second picture for “iPhones” is actually a Galaxy S4.
