Brands & Films has been featured in media in the UK, USA and in Slovenia:
BBC RADIO 4
On 11th February 2011 I was involved in the piece on product placement as a part of You and Yours programme on BBC Radio 4, the third most popular radio station in the UK with more than 10 million listeners. You and Yours programme has 3.2 million listeners per week.
The piece on product placement starts at 26th minute. Listen here
In June 2013 I was interviewed for Slovenian podcast Apparatus where I talked about product placement and other business aspects of brands in movies.
You can listen to the conversation on Apparatus (the interview is in Slovenian).
In August 2012 I gave an interview for Zemanta. It’s was published in the section “Zemanta Power User”.
ABC News ran a story about a recent study from the Yale Rudd Center for Food Policy & Obesity in which the researchers found that during 2008 there were 35,000 product placements of food, beverage and restaurant brands. And they were mostly for unhealthy foods.
Article includes some examples of product placement, with some cases and comments from Brands & Films.
The May 2012 issue of Ekran, Slovenian monthly magazine for film and television, featured my story about set-jetting “Where lives … Lisbeth Salander?”
In the article I’ve described this relatively new phenomenon and present some positive effects of appearing in movies on the number of tourists and visitors. Some of the most interesting cases include Rosslyn Chapel & The DaVinci Code, Alnwick castle & Harry Potter, Stockholm & The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Brugge & In Bruges …
In August 2011 Brands & Films was presented in the most read Slovenian magazine Vikend as an interesting website to visit.
Brands & Films was included in Slovenian blog Pepermint.
Pepermint is a website about beautiful things – it’s about cute, interesting, different, playful, beautiful things and their creators. I had to provide 5 favorite things and write a short explanation. I chose Mr. Wilson from Cast Away, Don Draper’s Kodak Carousel pitch, Colin Firth’s glasses from A Single Man, movie locations from the movie Before Sunrise, which is set in Vienna, and some indispensable sources when it comes to writing about movies.
Here’s the original post and also the link to the Google translated piece from the ‘5 things’ section (some parts are just hilarious): 5: ERIK RENKO
