Fantastic Four is a fictional superhero team that appeared in comic books published by Marvel Comics. The first issue was released in 1961. This year the Fantastic Four (stylized as Fant4stic) got its fourth movie adaptation.

Two most recent movies Fantastic Four and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer were quite successful at the box office: the first one grossed $330 million, while the sequel received $289 million.

The reboot was directed by Josh Trank and had fairly good cast: Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara and Jamie Bell. Its production budget wasn’t small as well, with reports mentioning around $120 million.

The opening weekend wasn’t extremely successful for the 2015 version, and some fairly negative reviews suggest that the movie might not perform that well. However, we have to take into account that the basis for the movie is a pretty simple (maybe even childish) comic book story and the movie is a typical summer blockbuster. We should wait a bit before we call it flop.

There is an interesting article about product placement in Fantastic Four by Abe Sauer at BrandChannel. Sauer listed all brands that appeared in the movie:

Audi, BMW, Bovie, Budweiser, Cessna, Dell, Dr Pepper, HTC, Instagram, NASA, New York Giants, New York Jets, Orange Crush, Ray-Ban, Samsung, Toyota and Victorinox.
