Last week Britney Spears showed the world her latest music video for the song Criminal, the last single from her album Femme Fatale. The video was directed by Chris Marrs Piliero and as I expected, it features several brands.

Britney’s perfume Radiance

This wasn’t the first time that Britney included her perfume in the video. It can be seen in the video Hold It Against Me and quite possibly in some other Britney’s videos. Several music stars (Britney, Christina Aguilera, Avril Lavigne …) have their own lines of fragrance and why not put the products in music videos. The possible obstacle is finding the right scene to show the perfume, because sometimes it seems unnatural and forced.

Swarovski watch

Well, if you get away on a motorbike with a total stranger, who just happened to knock out your boyfriend, you have to check what time it is. It’s Swarowski time :)

Citroen DS3 and BMW

After Britney and her new boyfriend robbed some convenience store (where Britney steals vanilla candles) they had to steal a car too. The first one that came across was Citroen DS3, which could be seen in Pixie Lott’s video Broken Arrow (and probably in many more).

While the main characters drove Citroen, we can see that the ‘bad’ guys aka the police have at least one BMW.

From the product placement point of view the latest Britney’s video is nothing special. Anyway, I kind of liked it, but the last line in the credits (“No vanilla candles were harmed in the making of this music video”) looks like a high-school type of joke :(
